Surfrider Central Florida will be holding our December meeting this Friday. Please come out and hear what we have upcoming.
December 7th – Beach clean up at Satellite Beach
If you cannot make the meeting and want to participate in the beach clean up this Saturday.here are the details.
We will meet at Pelican Park at 10:00 AM to begin. Go to the south end and look for the Surfrider Central Florida tent.
Parking in the vacant lot at DeSoto Blvd/ A1A (southwest corner of that intersection, across street from CVS) is reccomended.
You can cross A1A at a light there, and as you walk up sidewalk you’ll enter park right by our Surfrider area.
After teh clean up, stick around, talk to Surfrider members and enjoy the festivities at the Ocean Reef Festival happening all day.
Other issues to be discussed at the meeting.
H.R 1948 – what is happening and what Surfrider is doing about it. Take action to help us defeat a proposed bill that will degrade our water quality.
Seminole County Storm Drain Marking – Surfrider Central Florida is partnering with Seminole County to mark storm drains that dump directly into water sources.
Holiday Party – Can’t only be work, we are going to discuss If, when, and where we will have our holiday party. Don’t miss it.
Raffle tickets are also being sold for the Andy Irons tribute board. If you have not seen this, you need to come by and take a look. Tickets are $5.00 each, 3 for $10.00, or 5 for $20.00.
