Foam Free Orlando Campaign

Help us ban foam containers in Central Florida! The Central Florida Chapter is part of a large and diverse coalition working to create a NO FOAM ZONE in the City of Orlando. We’re proud to partner with the Foundation for Florida Environmental Protection, I.D.E.A.S. for us, ECO-Action, Sierra Club Central Florida Group and Orange Audubon Society. Foam products are petroleum based and never decompose, they just break into tiny pieces, which are extremely difficult to remove from our waterways, streets and parks. This poses a threat to wildlife, water quality and our health. Please join us to learn how you can help ban EPS foam in Orlando!

Step One: Sign the petition!

Step Two: Contact the Orlando Mayor and City Council and let them know you support going foam-free!

Step Three: Attend a chapter meeting to find out how else you can help!

International Surfing Day- June 20th!

We’ll be joining our friends at the Cocoa Beach Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation to celebrate International Surfing Day on June 20th! Join us for:

  • Beach Cleanup
  • Kids painting and crafts
  • Raffles & giveaways

In addition, the Surfrider Foundation members will be helping Surfers for Autism this ISD!

Our celebration will be held at Lori Wilson Park (1500 N. Atlantic Av. Cocoa Beach, FL) from 9am-5pm.

Please note, parking will be at a premium. Use North and South parking and Tulip Ave. to the South of the park.

It’s easy to take the beaches and waves for granted every time you go to drop in a wave. But if we want to protect our ocean and waves, we need your help!

CFL Chapter Members,
These are simple calls to make but hold a lot of weight for the health of our waters. Remember that actions we take inland impact our oceans.

I just made the 18 calls in under 30 min, well worth the time if it helps to protect our waterways. You may speak to a live aid or get voicemail. Either way, please be respectful when delivering your message and leave your name, location, and phone number.

Help us let Tallahassee know that our precious resources are important to us. Names, numbers, and talking points below.
