Action Alert! Save our Gulf Communities

Call your US Senator today

Congress must pass legislation directing where the FINES should go from BP and others responsible for the Gulf Oil Spill. This money may not go toward restoring the Gulf and its wildlife, unless there is support. Right now, thanks to the National Wildlife Federation, there is a bill in the U.S. Senate that would make sure money from these fines goes back to the Gulf communities.
It is called S.1400, The Restore Act.

Florida’s U.S. Senator Bill Nelson has been a strong supporter of this bill. His efforts over the next week will be crucial to helping it progress.

Please make a quick phone call this weekend to Sen. Nelson now, urging him to do all he can to push the RESTORE Act through the Senate this week.
D.C. office: (202) 224-5274
225 East Robinson Street, Ste 410
Orlando, Florida 32801
Phone: 407-872-7161
Toll Free in Florida: 1-888-671-4091
Fax: 407-872-7165

When you reach the senator’s office, say, “Hello, my name is [YOUR NAME], and I’m a resident of [CITY], Florida.”
Then say, “I am calling to ask Senator Nelson to do everything in his power this week to make sure that oil company fines from the Gulf oil spill are used to restore the Gulf Coast.”

This is very important for the future of Florida. Please tell your friends, neighbors and friends to make a call.

Follow this link to view a script and contact information for
Sen. Nelson, then let us know that you placed a call today in support of gulf restoration legislation.
